Now into its 46th year, VicWelsh is a traditional Welsh male voice choir, singing in four-part harmony and led by Rushan Hewawasam. Most of the choristers are from Melbourne and there is an established and thriving Bendigo chapter and a rapidly expanding Ballarat group. Quite a few choristers come from Irish backgrounds. Performing hymns, ballads, show tunes, arias and Celtic favourites that raise the roof in chapels and concert halls from Echuca to Bairnsdale, the choir is well known for its professionalism, humour, and entertaining engagement with audiences young and old alike.
