Hiraeth are a musical trio who perform songs with a strong Welsh influence as well as songs from other Celtic nations. Welsh born Stephen Lynn has a strong tenor voice and sang for many years with the Victoria Welsh Choir. His daughter Sarah Lynn has captivated audiences at Celtic Folk Festivals around Australia and is a recipient of “Celtic Female Artist of the Year” at the Australian Celtic Music Awards. Phil Lester completes the trio with his strong vocals and rich guitar, drawing on his diverse experience as a performer of folk and country rock. Stephen and Phil’s powerful voices contrast beautifully with Sarah’s sweet tones in traditional songs, using both Welsh and English lyrics. Hiraeth’s music is evocative with haunting melody and complex harmonies weaving through voice and guitar.
